Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 April 2026

1. The basics

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Marin Brouwers, based in Staden, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium (“we”, “us”), governing your use of the Drone Foundry browser game and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service independently. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 16 to create accounts and may refuse or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens on your account.
  • One account per person. No selling, sharing, or transferring accounts.
  • Usernames must not impersonate others, contain slurs or illegal content, or infringe trademarks.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automated clients / bots.
  • Interfere with the Service (DoS attacks, scraping at scale, probing for vulnerabilities without permission).
  • Post illegal, harassing, threatening, or hateful content in the hangar, usernames, or anywhere else you can type.
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes (selling accounts, gold-farming, etc.) without written permission.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service beyond what’s allowed by EU law.

If you find a security issue, please email us rather than exploit it. We welcome responsible disclosure.

5. Virtual items & credits

Credits, drones, components, and any other in-game items (“virtual items”) are a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use content within the Service. They have no real-world value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be traded outside the Service. We may adjust, reset, or remove virtual items when reasonably necessary (balance changes, bug fixes, account terminations).

The game is currently free to play. If we introduce paid features (in-game purchases, advertising, cosmetics) we will update these Terms first, and any paid features will be governed by the pricing and refund rules disclosed at the point of sale.

6. User content

When you post content through the hangar or any other feature, you keep ownership of that content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit it as necessary to run the Service. You are responsible for what you post; we may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Our content & the game

The Drone Foundry software, name, logo, art, and underlying systems are owned by us and protected by copyright and related rights. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game on supported devices.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing marinbrouwers@hotmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, commit fraud, or threaten the Service. Where possible, we’ll warn first and give you a chance to respond.

9. Service availability & changes

Drone Foundry is an alpha-stage game, provided on a best-effort basis. We may change, patch, wipe, or take down parts of the Service to fix bugs, rebalance, or respond to legal obligations. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service or that progress will always be preserved across major updates.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded under Belgian and EU consumer law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost data, lost virtual items, lost playtime).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). If you are a consumer, mandatory statutory rights under Belgian consumer-protection law continue to apply.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of the judicial district of West Flanders (arrondissement West-Vlaanderen), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules that may entitle you to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

You may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will announce them in-game or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms.
